I create frictional envelopes for what escapes language.
Through installations, performances and photography, I summon worn-out figures such as the mermaid, the shell, the fossil or the star, emptying them of their original meaning in order to make them available again.
The invisible, absence, what precedes us and what will outlive us run through my images, which I consider speculative ruins.
I am drawn to archetypes and symbols as ancient vessels of meaning—forms that survive across cultures and time, carrying fears, desires and collective memories beyond rational language. At the same time, I am interested in how these ancient structures are reshaped by post-internet culture, mass media and contemporary visual narratives, where images circulate, mutate and become new forms of collective mythology.
