You’ve Got to Die is a text-based work constructed from fragments of anonymous conversations found on Reddit and Quora. Drawing from individuals expressing fears of global catastrophe—from alien invasion and meteor strikes to the collapse of civilization—the work gathers dispersed digital anxieties into a single, fragmented voice.

Each statement is attributed to a fictional persona, accompanied by a name and age, deliberately unsettling the boundary between authentic testimony and constructed identity. What begins as scattered expressions of fear becomes a collective monologue: a chorus of anonymous voices projecting their anxieties, fantasies and attempts to make sense of an uncertain future.

By extracting these intimate fragments from the endless flow of online discourse and giving them a new form, Sirente transforms the internet into a contemporary archive of collective fears. The work reflects on how the digital landscape not only records our anxieties, but also becomes a space in which fears circulate, mutate and acquire a shared reality.
